New mobile app for diabetes in pregnancy
The Atlantic Diabetes in Pregnancy Team (Atlantic DIP) at Galway University Hospitals (GUH) have developed a mobile app for women who have diabetes in pregnancy (type 1, type 2 or gestational).
The information which is designed to be viewed on any mobile phone with Internet access can be viewed at www.whatsupmum.ie/diabetes.
The website and mobile app includes videos of the University Hospitals Team giving practical advice and information to women with diabetes.
Professor Fidelma Dunne, Consultant Endocrinologist at GUH is one of the medical practitioners who features on the videos and she said, “Our aim is to provide easy access to expert practical advice which can be accessed from any location.”
